Marrying at Domaine de l'Abbaye
Domaine de l'Abbaye is a private five-acre estate set above Deauville, with direct access to the beach. Two houses, walled grounds, and the sea behind everything.
You are not renting a room here. You take over the whole place — its gardens, terraces, drawing rooms and fifteen bedrooms — and your guests share it with no one. Full privatisation is the only way the estate is let.
Two hours from Paris by road. Or two hours station to station to Trouville-Deauville, then five minutes by car.
The estate is never shared
One celebration at a time. The estate is handed over to you in full, for the whole length of your booking: your set-up stays where you put it from build to breakdown, your suppliers work to your schedule, and no one else comes through the gate.

The two houses
L'Abbaye
Ten bedroomsThe main house. Reception rooms, two dining rooms, the heated indoor pool, the sauna and the gym. This is where the wedding settles, and where the couple sleeps.
Le Cloître
Five bedroomsThe second house, set slightly apart. For parents, witnesses and the friends staying the whole weekend — close enough to be part of it, far enough to sleep.
Thirty guests sleep on the estate. Deauville and Trouville are minutes away and cover every level of accommodation for the rest.
Forty, seventy, or two hundred and fifty
Three formats, one estate. Forty guests sit down in the two dining rooms of the Abbaye. Seventy are received standing, at a standing dinner — cocktail dînatoire — indoors or out on the terraces. Above that, a marquee goes up on the level ground, and it becomes the room you design around.
Up to seventy the estate carries the wedding on its own, which is also our wet-weather answer: the reception rooms take over if the Normandy sky decides otherwise. Above seventy the marquee is the plan, and there is no indoor alternative. We say so plainly because it shapes how you design the day.

The minimum stay is not a commercial rule. It is roughly what the marquee takes to build and dismantle, and the estate is yours for the whole window.
The morning after
A wedding does not end with the last song. Those staying on the estate find each other the next morning in the grounds, around the pool, at a breakfast table that runs until noon.
It is often the part people remember best. It is also why the estate is booked by the night, across several days, rather than by the day.
The seasons
Long days and Normandy light at its best. Dinners run outdoors, ceremonies are held in the grounds.
The estate turns inward, to its fires and its heated pool. It suits tighter guest lists, and availability is wider.
